In his dying, glorifying - 1792
Introduction
Edward Perronet is remembered for “All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name,” one of the best-known hymns of the Christian church. When he died on January 2, 1792, his last words showed that the faith that had inspired him when he wrote that famous hymn remained still at the forefront of his thoughts.
Quote
“Glory to God in the height of His divinity! Glory to God in the depth of his humanity! Glory to God in His all suffering! Into His hands I commend my spirit.”
