About the author and the source
The author of Morning Light was the Rev. Thomas Thelluson Carter (1808–1901), a significant figure in the Victorian church and a prolific author who reintroduced some Catholic practices into his parish. He also authored Evening Rest (a selection from it will appear on March 13th). His residence was Clewer Rectory.
