About the author and the source
In 1864 concerned individuals opened a home in Farnworth, Kent, for little boys who were homeless or in danger of drifting into crime. Among the aims of the managers was a desire to ground the children in God’s word. The home issued a booklet of short daily Scriptures, mottoes and Bible readings for the boys. Here is a typical entry for today, January 19th.
